Kim Scott and her family moved to Cedar Creek Lake in the summer of 2009 from Hillsboro, Texas where she grew up. Ms. Scott and her family bought a vacation home in Esquire Estates II on Cedar Creek Lake in 2003 and immediately fell in love with the area. Ms. Scott and her family are all so happy to call this their home now. Daniel, her husband, is a dentist, who sold his practice in the Hillsboro area to live on beautiful Cedar Creek Lake full time. Ashley is a freshman at Mabank High School, and Ryan, her son, just moved to College Station where he is a freshman at Blinn College.
Prior to joining Johnson Monroe, Realtors, Ms. Scott started her career in real estate in 1999 where she sold residential real estate on Lake Whitney. Eventually, she joined Cushman & Wakefield of Dallas where she was in commercial lease management, managing over 6 million square feet of space for ACS across the US along with international locations as well. In her first year at Cushman & Wakefield she won the Corporate Services Person of the Year with the firm. After many years in the corporate world Ms. Scott decided to slow down for family. So, she joined the team of Ron Roberts & Associates in Hillsboro, Texas, where she earned over 2400 hours of appraising residential and commercial property. In Hillsboro, Ms. Scott was also deeply involved with the Hillsboro schools serving as President and Vice President of the Parent Teacher Organizations and also worked part-time with Education Service Center Region 12 as the GEAR UP Coordinator. GEAR UP is a federally funded grant program whose goal is to increase college awareness for students and their families and to help students develop the skills and preparation necessary to pursue education after high school.
